Understand Your Heart Rhythm Over 24 Hours

Heart Monitor 24 provides a continuous, high-resolution look at your heart's electrical patterns. By connecting to a Polar H10 chest strap, the app records every heartbeat for 24 hours or more, allowing you to see how your heart reacts to training, recovery, and daily stress. This long-form recording offers a level of detail that goes far beyond the standard 30-second snapshots of smartwatches — and at a fraction of the cost of a clinical Holter monitor.

Complete Heart Data View

Precision Data Collection

Deep insights starts with high-quality data. Heart Monitor 24 uses the 130Hz sampling rate of the Polar H10 sports sensor to capture raw heart data in great detail. Since the sensor is worn on your chest, the signal stays stable even during intense physical activity. Heart Monitor 24 visualizes your data in real-time, enabling immediate pattern analysis.

Polar Sports Sensor Recording

Advanced Signal Processing

Unlock the hidden details of your heart's electrical signal. Heart Monitor 24 applies baseline optimization and advanced signal detection to the raw data to reliably identify R peaks. It automatically calculates R-R intervals and provides immediate insight into your rhythm patterns for training and recovery analysis.

Algorithm Analysis

Your Data, Your Control

Heart Monitor 24 is built on a strict Local-First privacy model, so your recordings are always under your control.

Local-First Privacy: All data is stored on your device — no cloud storage.
Easy Sharing: Share your heart data with others.
Simple Formats: Saved in standard CSV — easily import to Excel or any analysis tool.
No Waiting: Capture patterns the moment they occur.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to get started with Heart Monitor 24?

Heart Monitor 24 requires a Polar H10 sports sensor, which can be purchased from Amazon US or Amazon EU. The Heart Monitor 24 app can be downloaded from Google Play for Android devices.

Is Heart Monitor 24 a medical device?

No. Heart Monitor 24 is designed for fitness, research, and educational purposes only. It is a data visualization tool. While it uses high-quality data from the Polar sports sensor, the app is not a certified medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or monitor any medical condition. It does not provide medical advice or alerts.

What is the difference between the Free and Pro version?

The free version includes all features of the Pro version with one limitation: heart recordings are capped at 60 seconds. The Pro version removes this limit, allowing unlimited recording duration for long-form data analysis.

Can I record my data while sleeping?

Yes. Because the Polar H10 is comfortable and the app records continuously, you can capture data during sleep to analyze your resting heart patterns and see how your body recovers overnight.

Is my heart data stored in the cloud?

No. We follow a strict "Local-First" privacy policy. All recordings are stored exclusively on your device. We do not upload your data to any cloud servers, ensuring you maintain complete ownership and privacy of your information.

Can I export the raw data?

Yes. You can export full recordings as CSV files. This provides access to the raw 130Hz voltage data, which can be opened in Excel, MATLAB, or Python for personal research or data science projects.

Why is the Polar H10 better than an optical heart rate monitor?

Optical sensors (like those on most watches) measure blood flow, which can be inconsistent during movement. The Polar H10 is a sports sensor that measures the electrical signal of your heart directly at 130Hz. This provides the high-fidelity data necessary for detailed waveform visualization and pattern detection.

Can Heart Monitor 24 record for longer than 30 seconds?

Yes. Most smartwatches limit recordings to 30 seconds. With Heart Monitor 24 Pro and a Polar H10, you can record continuously for 24 hours or more — long enough to capture the moments that short recordings always miss.

Is Heart Monitor 24 an affordable alternative to a Holter monitor?

A clinical Holter monitor costs $3,000 or more and requires a doctor's appointment. Heart Monitor 24 works with a Polar H10 chest strap (~$100), available worldwide. It provides continuous 24-hour recordings with detailed waveform analysis at a fraction of the cost — though it is not a certified medical device.

Can I see early beats and pauses in my heart rhythm?

Yes. Heart Monitor 24 highlights early beats and significant pauses in your recording, with exact timestamps. You can jump directly to any flagged moment to see the full waveform detail and understand how these events relate to your daily activities.

Does the app show PQRST waveforms?

Yes. Heart Monitor 24 labels the individual P, Q, R, S, and T waves on every detected heartbeat. You can toggle each wave label on or off independently, making it easy to focus on the part of the waveform you are interested in.

Can I use Heart Monitor 24 for HRV analysis?

Yes. The app calculates HRV (RMSSD) from your R-R intervals and displays a Poincaré plot that distinguishes regular beats from irregular ones. Combined with the R-R interval time series chart, you get a complete picture of your heart rate variability over the full recording.

Support & Troubleshooting

My Polar H10 is not appearing in the list. Why?

It takes a short while for the belt to activate and become visible in the connect screen. Tip: Moistening the electrode areas of the Polar H10 sensor strap before use is necessary to ensure accurate and instant signal detection.

Do I need to pair the belt in my device settings?

No. Please do not pair the Polar H10 in your device's main Bluetooth settings. Simply open Heart Monitor 24, tap "Record", and the app will automatically find and connect to your device.

The recorded signal is noisy or flat. What can I do?

A poor signal is usually caused by dry skin or a loose strap. Make sure the strap is tight against your chest and the electrodes are well-moistened. Static electricity from synthetic shirts can also interfere, so try wearing cotton or wetting the shirt over the strap.

My device is connected but not recording data.

If the device appears connected but shows no signal, try detaching the sensor pod from the strap and snapping it back on. If the issue persists, the battery (CR2025) may need to be replaced.
